Autoplex by Vanworks and RMT

Vanworks Inc. was started in 1978 by current president Keith E. Hess. With a carpentry background, he custom built each van himself one at a time. Back then, new vans were coming out of his garage at a rate of about one per month.
In 1983 he moved the company into a 3,000 sq. ft. facility with two employees. Vans were gaining popularity as family vehicles and there were very few pre-owned vans on the market. People were buying new vans at dealerships and bringing them to Vanworks to be customized.
Today, Autoplex by Vanworks converts Vans, Trucks and SUVs, and sells top-of-the-line aftermarket parts and accessories. Operating in a 75,000 square foot facility at the main Fort Collins location with an additional location in Fort Collins and one in Longmont, they employ ASE certified technicians that take pride in quality craftsmanship.
There’s a whole division within Vanworks dedicated to upfitting trucks that are sent to dealerships. Rocky Mountain Truckworks or RMT upfits trucks for dealerships all over the country. So it’s safe to say the company has evolved since Vanworks was first started by Keith Hess, but the organization holds true to the same quality manufacturing principals it was built upon 30 years ago.
